I’ve found the nature of infinite digital redo’s does something really counter-productive to my editor brain. There’s something about having to commit—even to a cheap Maxell cassette tape—that adds to the weight of intention when the red light is on. Plus there’s no lo-fi plugin that sounds even close to as cool as the real thing to my ears. Pure authentic sonic degradation. Kinda hooked all over again…
